We are very pleased to announce that entries are open for our popular Virtual Futurity Series!
How does it work?
1. Prepare Your Videos
You need to submit TWO VIDEOS ONLY for your virtual futurity entry:
1. Veterinary Evaluation
2. Frame and Movement
The footage you need to provide varies depending on the age of your entry, to see a full list of what is required, with example videos and useful checklists you can print off and take with you as you do the videos, go to:

2. Complete Your Entry
To make your entry, go to our Event and entries will be open from mid July
NOTE - Video deadline has now been extended to 9th September due to cancellation of our Scottish venue.
3. Send Us Your Videos
There are 2 ways for you to send us your videos.
- Upload them to Youtube
- Upload them to Vimeo
After uploading your videos please email the links to britishbreeding@gmail.com by 9th September.
4. Video Checking
Our Team then need to check your videos, so please make sure we have them all as soon as you have completed your entry, and absolutely no later than the 9th September. If there is anything missing, we will contact you.
To create a good video, remember a few tips:
- film with the sun behind you
- hold the phone in landscape when filming movement and conformation from the side
- make sure you send everything we need
5. Evaluation
Our teams will then work together to evaluate the entries. This process is scheduled to finish later in September.
6. Feedback
We then send you an email with your results and a detailed report from the evaluators. We will also organise a Virtual Futurity Highlights Webinar with some of the best moments from the series.

As a result of the popular demand during the last week of the Virtual evaluations, we have added a 'Late Entries' group for the British Breeding/Baileys Horse Feeds Virtual Futurity Evaluations 2021. Late Entries will close on Monday, 23rd August. Please be aware that it might take longer to evaluate your entry due to the physical series taking place.
This is where you make your entry for the Virtual Futurity assessments. If you have not already done so, please refer to the guidance notes and videos on creating your entry videos. If your videos are not in the required format they will not be assessed.

Please upload your gaits video to YouTube and email the link to info@british-breeding.com. Please send your veterinary videos to info@british-breeding.com, via WeTransfer. If for any reason you were unable to upload your video footage, please email us on info@british-breeding.com, or call 01903 891637 - we will be happy to assist you.
Please now complete the questionnaire required by the evaluators to provide useful background information and to help the vet and nutritionist to assess your entry, by following the link below.

Virtual Futurity Video Checklists:
Remember that for the assessment of the gaits, we need one continuous, unedited video of up to 5 minutes. Please remember to hold your phone or iPad horizontally (in landscape) when filming.

Late Entry Fee: £78 incl. VAT (British Breeding Members Club members: £66 incl. VAT)
Your entry fee includes £5 which will go into the prize fund for the top scoring horses or ponies in each age and discipline.
